ethics

The word “ethics” is used in everyday life. It is commonly used by every person. Nowadays ethics are related to many professionals like accountants, teachers, engineers, doctors, etc. In many organizations, there is a code of ethics. This code of ethics specifies the guidance related to the ethical dilemmas and it also provides advice in avoiding these ethical conflicts. Ethics play a dominant role in the corporate social environment(CSR). Therefore it is better to dive further, to understand the ethics. How it is interconnected with everyday life and morality, how it is related to human behaviors, and what is the real meaning of ethics. Most simply we can define ethics as a system of moral principles. These principles will have an effect or impact on the humans like how they make decisions and how they behave in society, how they talk with each other. Ethics affects how people lead their lives. Ethics are simply a process. A process of questioning, discovering, and defending our values. Ethics tells us what is right, what is good, and the purpose of your reason for being. As I explained earlier ethics are simply a set of moral principles. We can use ethics to distinguish what is right and wrong. Ethics provides practical guidance to our lives.

In most cases, many professional bodies have introduced ethical codes for their professional members. For example, CFA, CIMA, and ACCA have introduced separate ethical codes for their members. These codes will cover the practical guidance.
How the members need to make their decisions without compromising the ethics. We constantly face choices and challenges that will affect our lives. We need to make these choices by considering the others who might get affected by the consequences of the choice we made. By using ethics we can minimize these conflicts of interest in decision making.

Ethics are not particularly related to religion. Ethics are typically referring to the decisions about the correct, incorrect right or wrong but the religion makes claims about the social behavior, proper treatment to other people, etc. Therefore, we can say the ethics are not directly related to religion but they are slightly related.
